ABOUT US
The Association of Bolivian Women of the Washington DC Metropolitan Area (ABW) comprises a Board of Directors and its membership. The Board of Directors is composed of a President, a Vice President, a Treasurer, and a Secretary. The Board of Directors may establish such other positions as may be required from time to time.
The Board meets once a month to discuss new initiatives, review requests, and plan fundraising events.
The Board of Directors manages the ABW's financial and in-kind contributions; forwards donations to its beneficiaries; collects fees from its members, and organizes the fund-raising activities of the organization.
The AWB is a volunteer organization with no paid employees. All donations go to support our goals.
YP CHAPTER OF ABW
The YP Chapter of ABW was born thanks to the interest of a younger generation. On July 25th, 2009 the board of directors heard the proposal of two young professionals living in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area, Cynthia Canelas and Lorena Jordan, to start a young professionals branch of the Association to help in its mission and objectives.
WASHINGTONIANS FOR BOLIVIA
‘Washingtonians for Bolivia’ Chapter. ABW board of directors created in May 2012 “Washingtonians for Bolivia” to acknowledge and recognize the constant support ABW receives from ‘our husbands’ and friends.
